I feel this so much. I hope your time to/with yourself is healing. I’m in Vermont on a family vacation (which has turned into a family funeral) and I am craving alone time. It feels like a place where you are meant to be alone.
Hi Paula, I'm sorry for your families loss--and I hope you ask for the time to be alone--no matter the circumstances around you. I just listened to David White reflect on "honesty" and he said the most difficult and most courageous part of being honest is facing our fear of loss--there is something we are afraid of loosing if we are honest in asking for our needs--but if we do loose that thing, that thing inevitably opens a door to another freedom. I cannot even name precisely what I am afraid of loosing when I ask for space to be alone--but the terror is there...maybe it's practice...may you receive the blessing of your aloneness.
